A road curving away beneath a stand of tall eucalyptus, with figures walking on the grass beneath them, a car coming toward the viewer, and the basin opening out to the right.
The trees fill the right two thirds and their canopy closes the top; the road sweeps in from the left and out of the bottom corner. The two masses lean away from each other and the view opens in the gap between.
Strong sap green and bottle green in the canopy against a cobalt sky with cream cloud. The road is lavender and pale ochre; the distant land violet and olive.
The foliage is dabbed in flat touches of several greens with sky showing between them; the trunks are single thin pulls drawn afterwards. The figures are two strokes each, no more.
Gouache on paper. Matte and opaque. Unpainted margins all round.
Along the lower edge, raypatrick, in violet over the verge, letters widely spaced.
