Let’s make something that doesn’t exist yet.

Portraits, pets, characters, album art, book covers, and one-off pieces — in oil, watercolor, or gouache. I can build the frame by hand, so it turns up ready to hang.

How it goes

Four steps, no surprises

  1. 01

    You tell me the idea

Fill in the form below. Reference photos help more than adjectives do.

  2. 02

    I quote it

A price, a size, a medium, and a realistic date. Within [how many days? — Ray] of your request.

  3. 03

    Deposit, then paint

[What % up front? — Ray] to get on the calendar. You see progress shots as it goes.

  4. 04

    Balance, then it ships

Final photos, balance due, then it goes out framed and insured.

Terms

The fine print, in plain words

Deposit and schedule

[What % — Ray] deposit books your slot and is non-refundable once I start. Balance is due before it ships.

Timeline

Typically [how long? — Ray] from deposit, depending on the queue and the size. Oil needs drying time and I won’t rush it.

Revisions

[How many rounds? — Ray] at the sketch stage, included. Changes after paint is down are a new quote.

Rights

You own the physical piece. I keep the copyright and the right to show it in my portfolio unless we agree otherwise in writing. Commercial use is a separate conversation.

Shipping

Packed and insured, billed at cost. International is fine; duties are yours.

What I’ll turn down

Anything that copies another artist’s work, and anything I’d be uncomfortable signing. I’ll say so quickly rather than waste your time.

Request

Tell me what you’re after

No obligation and no deposit yet — this just starts the conversation. I answer every one of these myself.
