Who dropped the ball

A cartoon drawn off the show. A politician demands answers about a fire — who is responsible for the devastation, who dropped the ball on preparedness, when can they break ground on the rail project — while the fire official beside him replies that anyone caught in a fire has only themselves to blame.
A block of lettered demands fills the left third like a column of newsprint, and the two figures occupy the right, the politician's hand thrust forward into the gap between them. The exchange reads top to bottom then left to right.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Dense diagonal hatching behind both heads makes a flat studio ground, with crosshatched modelling in the faces and bare white in the shirts. The hand in the foreground is drawn largest and least shaded.
Ink on paper, drawn as a cartoon for the show.
Signed with the artist's name at the lower centre and dated in MMDDYY beneath it.
