United in our government policies

A four-panel cartoon drawn off the show. A president addresses a hall and declares the country united in its government policies. A man in the audience says he does not agree. A shot rings out, lettered across the third panel. In the fourth she picks up exactly where she left off — as she was saying, united.
Four equal panels in a two-by-two grid, with the gunshot given a whole panel to itself so the timing works. The first and last are the same framing of the podium, which is what makes the repetition land.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Flat solid black in the backgrounds and the flag against open line in the figures, with the gunshot drawn as a hand-lettered burst filling its panel. The crowd is reduced to rows of simple heads.
Ink on paper, drawn as a cartoon for the show.
Lettered ROTC TOONS at the lower centre with the artist's name and a date in MMDDYY beside it.
