Two at the rail
A bearded man in dark glasses stands with a pistol held up beside his head, a cigarette going, while a woman next to him holds a fluffy white cat up to her face. A second cat sits on the floor at the right. The Kitty City sign runs along the top.
Two half-length figures side by side at the left and centre, with a tall field of black ruling filling the right-hand third, so the pair are read against a flat dark wall. The seated cat breaks that darkness at the base.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Close vertical ruling for the dark ground, laid by hand rather than with a tool, against open contour in the figures. The pistol is the one object drawn with hard mechanical edges.
Ink on paper.
Signed with the artist's name at the lower right and dated in MMDDYY beside it.
