A full-length upright figure held dead centre against a black ground, with the lettering set into the upper right corner and the shadow drawn as flat black bars running off the lower edge. The pose is still; the lettering does all the movement.
Violet and lavender monochrome through the figure against black, with the lettering the only other colour — a red-to-orange run that is the hottest thing on the sheet.
Brushed washes in a single colour family over ink, with the black laid down as opaque strokes that leave the paper showing through in streaks. The lettering is painted rather than drawn and left ragged.
