The thinking room

A cartoon drawn off the show. A shop or gallery hung with figurines and busts, where half a dozen men sit about on chairs and sofas arguing an ageless question, with cats underfoot and packets scattered on the low table between them.
A deep interior with the shelving ruled flat across the back and the seated group arranged in a loose horseshoe opening toward the reader, so the table at the bottom edge becomes the floor of the debate.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Close vertical ruling for the back wall throws the figures forward as unfilled shapes, and every object on the shelves is drawn individually in fine line. Very little solid black anywhere.
Ink on paper, drawn as a cartoon for the show.
Lettered ROTC TOONS at the lower centre with the artist's name and a date in MMDDYY beside it.
