That's a good dab
Mersh takes a dab and comes apart into a mechanised universe — a helmeted figure screaming, a cockpit, a radio voice asking Louie whether he has eyes on him, and a warning that Clarence is on his six. The last panel brings him back to the room with a cat beside him and a verdict on what he just had.
Seven panels. The sequence is read by scale: tight cockpit views and instrument panels at the top, a full-width panel across the middle with a hand-lettered scream running through it, then two small panels back at human size to land it.
Acid yellow and magenta through the hallucination against the cooler lilac and grey of the room, with the lettering in red and yellow.
Ink drawn hard and mechanical in the machinery and loose in the two closing panels, so the drug and the room are handled in two different ways. The big panel is painted in rays running out from the centre.
