Technical difficulties
A cartoon drawn off the show and left deliberately open. A man in a shirt and braces stands at the right with a weary expression, and above his shoulder a screen shows a figure with eyes popping. The balloon space is empty — the drawing was published for other people to write their own caption into.
The figure is set hard right with a large solid black field filling the left, which is both the studio dark and the blank space the joke is meant to go in. The screen sits at the top of that field.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Crosshatching models the face and the shirt is left almost bare, against one flat brushed black mass. Nothing is lettered, which for this sheet is the point.
