Superkiller vs Green Arrow

Superkiller Sam mid-shout with an apple on his head, a cartoon worm in the hole and one of Green Arrow's arrows driven straight through it. More arrows are in him and around him: one caught in his fist above his head, one crossing his chest, one at the belt. Far back at the right, small and calm, Green Arrow stands in his hood with the bow still drawn and a quiver of fletchings over his shoulder.
Shot from below and close, so Sam's shoulder and arm fill the left two thirds and the archer is pushed to a sliver of distance at the right. Every arrow in the picture points along the same diagonal, from the upper right down to the lower left, which puts the two figures at either end of one line. The apple sits at the top of the frame where the eye arrives last.
Hot orange and gold across the figure, against a background of green and yellow rays that cool to blue at the lower right. The archer is a single green note in the one cool corner. Red spatter is carried across the costume as blood.
Drawn in ink first and painted over, the washes allowed to run and spot — the spatter on the suit is flicked, not placed. The background rays are ruled straight lines of colour pulled in one pass each, left streaky so the paper shows through.
Watercolour and ink on paper, scanned flat. Transparent throughout; the lights are bare paper and the brightest areas are where no paint went.
Lower centre, RayRayIsHappy in a running ink script, sitting on the belt.
