Standing over her

A MershNoir study. A man in a long tan coat stands with a pistol lowered, looking down at a woman sprawled face-down on the grass, a dropped gun beside her. A column of fire goes up behind them against a wall of blue city.
The standing figure fills the left half at full height and the body lies across the bottom right, so the sheet reads top to bottom as coat, hand, gun, woman. The flame is the only vertical that competes with the man.
Cold ultramarine through the buildings and the ground against the warm tan and olive of the coat, with cadmium orange in the flame. Her clothes are the one acid green note.
Washes over an open ink line, brushed loosely and allowed to pool at the bottom. The city behind is suggested with vertical strokes only — no windows, no detail.

No signature visible; the sheet is sketchbook work.
