So we're the bad guys?!
A single-panel cartoon from 2023: a line of company superheroes stand in front of a burning street and ask “so we're the bad guys?!”, while a bearded man in a blue cap and a yellow-logo tank walks out of frame with a comic under his arm and answers them in two words.
Six figures banked across the left and centre, all facing the reader, against a wall of fire; the one man walking the other way is given the whole right-hand third and the larger balloon.
Orange and cadmium through the fire and the sky, against violet, indigo and steel in the costumes, with the lettering in red and black.
Watercolour over ink, brushed loose. The faces are caricature at speed and the fire is one wet pass.
Watercolour and ink on paper.
