Shut up Marge
Mersh slumped in his office chair with a cigarette while a black cat clamps onto his forearm, claws and teeth in, his balloon reading SHUT UP MARGE. A second cat sits in the window behind him and the evidence board hangs on the wall at the right.
The chair is drawn as a solid black mass filling the left, with Mersh leaning out of it to the right and the cat at the centre of the struggle. The black of the chair and the black of the cat are the same weight, which is what makes them read as one problem.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Flat brush black for the chair and the cat against hatched grey for the shirt, with the room behind held in thin outline so the two solids dominate. The cat's face is the only passage with white reserved inside it.
Ink on paper.
Marked ROTC TOONS with rayrayisHAPPY and the date 113024 at the lower right.
