Mersh walking an arcade of lit signs and vaulted ceilings with a tall white cat-woman on his arm, she in a green top and striped shorts, a crowd of small figures lining the bar behind them.
The two figures are close and cropped at the knee in the left half while the arcade runs away behind them to the right, so the architecture does the depth and the pair do the foreground. Everything is tipped slightly off level.
Cold blue-grey through the hall with warm amber in the hanging lamps, against the dusty pink of Mersh's shirt and the mint and violet of her costume.
Ink contour with pale transparent washes, the background crowd reduced to repeated marks. The ceiling is drawn with a ruler-straight confidence the figures deliberately lack.
