She ain't Superman
A new girl is giving one of the regulars a lap dance. He offers to buy off the menu, she slaps the shit out of him, he slaps her back, and she explodes with rage. The strip then cuts to a figure running flat out, a man knocked cold, and the correction — she did not knock him out, she stepped on the tracks and found out she is not Superman.
Seven panels. The top row stays inside the club in ordinary scale; the bottom row abandons it for two large near-abstract panels — a figure running through streaked light and a head in silhouette — before returning to two small panels to deliver the line.
Violet and magenta in the club, then a sudden shift to cadmium orange, gold and black for the running panels, which are the hottest thing in the run.
The club panels are painted inside the line; the two big panels are brushed in long directional streaks with the figure left as a dark reserve, so the technique changes with the register.
