Secret city
A high aerial of the city — towers, tanks, gantries and walkways stacked back to a distant horizon, small vehicles threading between them, two figures talking on the plaza in the near foreground and a third standing on a ledge at the left.
A steep bird's-eye with the ground plane curving away, so the city appears to bend around the viewer. The two tiny figures at the bottom right are the only thing giving the sprawl a human measure.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Built from small repeated forms rather than drawn perspective, the density thinning toward the top to make the distance. Solid black is confined to the two framing edges.
Ink on paper.
