A woman standing on a longboard on a small clean wave, arms out for balance, with high soft cloud behind her.
The wave runs the full width just below centre and the figure stands on it slightly right of middle — the only vertical in the picture. Her reflection carries down into the water beneath.
Lilac, rose and dove through the cloud — soft and unusually warm — against teal and emerald in the water. The board is a single stroke of cadmium orange.
The sky is scrubbed in broad soft planes with their edges allowed to meet. The wave's crest is a dragged white stroke, and the figure is four marks with no outline.
