Royce on the move
Royce striding forward in an orange shirt and board shorts, head down and arms swinging, drawn as a full-length study against a background of hard diagonal stripes.
A single figure on a strong diagonal, cropped at the top of the head and at the feet, with the striped ground running the opposite way so the two diagonals cross. Lettering is cut off at the lower left edge.
Hot orange against yellow and red stripes on one side and cold violet on the other, the figure placed exactly on the seam between the warm and cold halves.
Loose ink contour with washes brushed on fast and allowed to run past the line. The stripes are laid in as flat bands and the violet is worked wet so it granulates.
