Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain
A cartoon drawn off the show, built on the Wizard of Oz. A screen at the right carries a politician in mid-speech telling everyone to pay no attention to the figure behind the curtain, while in front of it a gym full of men carry on with dumbbells, a small dog trots through, and a witch's hat and a pair of striped legs lie flattened on the floor.
The screen is a bordered panel inside the panel at the upper right, and the gym spreads out below and left of it with the crushed legs at the lower centre — so the reference is left on the floor for the reader to find rather than pointed at.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Light open line throughout with solid black kept to the hat, the shoes and the screen surround, which makes the three props read first. The crowd is drawn loosely and at a smaller scale.
