Orange bus on a wide beach street

An orange bus pulled up on a wide beach street, with a woman walking the kerb at the left, parked cars behind and the sea closing the far end.
The street recedes to a vanishing point just left of centre and the lamp standards step down in height along it to carry the distance. The bus is the one large mass and sits hard right, balanced by the walking figure at the far left.
A deep ultramarine sky over pale sand and cream in the road. The bus is cadmium orange — the only hot colour in the picture, and it carries the whole composition.
The bus is drawn more than painted, its windows and panels struck in with quick dark strokes over the orange. The figures are two or three marks each; the lamp posts single vertical pulls.
Gouache on paper. Matte and opaque, with wide unpainted margins on all four sides.
Along the lower edge, raypatrick, in orange over the road, letters widely spaced.
