Not my Cherokee Purples

A cartoon drawn off the show. A woman calls from the porch for the priest, because the ghosts are in the garden again. Figures are moving through the vegetable beds at night carrying off the crop, and the second voice from the house is less concerned about the haunting than about the tomatoes.
The house occupies the upper left with its lit windows, the garden spreads across the lower two thirds under a crescent moon, and the figures are strung out in a line through the rows so the theft reads as a procession.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Solid brushed black for the night sky with the moon reserved as white, against open line in the figures and fine stipple in the vegetable beds. The house is ruled; the garden is not.
Ink on paper, drawn as a cartoon for the show.
Lettered ROTC TOONS at the lower left with the artist's name at the right.
