MershNoir with twin automatics

Mersh as a noir private eye, standing square to the viewer in a light jacket over a striped shirt with a shoulder rig, dark glasses on and a cigar clamped in his teeth, holding two automatics crossed low in front of him. Smoke climbs from the cigar past his ear.
A single upright figure filling the sheet, cropped at the thigh and set against a solid black field that stops short of the paper edge on three sides. The crossed pistols make the one horizontal in an otherwise vertical drawing and sit exactly at the centre.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Brush and pen over a pencil lay-in that has deliberately not been erased — the construction lines are still legible through the jacket and around the head. Blacks are solid and flat behind the figure; the modelling inside it is all hatching, heaviest in the shirt stripes and the hands.
Ink over pencil in a sketchbook.
No signature within the drawn area.
