MershNoir, armed
Mersh standing loaded for a fight: automatic weapons and spare magazines strapped in rows across his chest and hips, dark glasses on, a cigarette going, and a cat riding his shoulder with a cigarette of its own.
A single upright figure filling the sheet against a solid black ground, cropped at the thigh. The weapons make a horizontal lattice across his body at exactly the point where the eye lands, and the cat's head breaks the black at the right.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Brushed black behind and tight parallel hatching through the shirt, with the hardware drawn hardest of all — every magazine and sling rendered while the face is left comparatively open.
Ink over pencil in a sketchbook.
Dated 0918 at the lower right.
