Mersh drives, the cats ride
Mersh at the wheel of his car with three cats riding with him — one leaning over his shoulder, one at the window with a cigarette, one looking back out of the rear seat. Drawn in ink as concept work for the Kitty City story.
A tight interior shot across the front seats, with Mersh's head at the left and the cats stacked diagonally away from him to the right. The car's roofline and window frames cut the drawing into bands and keep everyone boxed in.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Open contour for the figures against dense parallel hatching for the car's upholstery and the sky outside, so the passengers stay white and the vehicle goes dark around them.
