Mad Trax Fury Road

A poster painting. An armoured bulldozer with a raised blade grinds across a desert plain under a lilac sky, with a lone figure walking at the right carrying a weapon. The title is lettered in the upper right and a number is painted along the bottom edge.
The machine fills the left two thirds and is drawn almost side-on so its bulk is unmissable; the lettering occupies the clear sky at the upper right and the walking figure is left small at the horizon, which sets the scale of both.
Cadmium orange and rust through the machine against violet and dusty lilac in the sky, with acid yellow-green in the ground and slate in the tracks.
Ink over washes with the sky laid in wet and allowed to blend, against hard flat colour in the machine. The lettering is drawn in outlined block capitals and left unfilled.
Watercolour and ink on paper.
Signed with the artist's name at the lower right.
