Lunch outside the Sugar Cookie

Mersh eating at a table outside the Sugar Cookie with a large white long-haired cat sitting up beside him, a burger in front of him and a drink in his hand. Royce's Hippo BBQ truck is parked at the left with a customer at the window, and the club's sign is at the right.
A wide letterbox with the action strung along it — truck at the left, lit doorway at the centre, Mersh and the cat close and large at the right. The table edge runs the full width as a base line.
Warm sand and apricot through the lot against the cool lilac of the building, with the drink cup the single red. The cat is reserved white paper and reads as the brightest thing in the strip.
Fine ink line with light washes, the background buildings kept pale so the near figures hold. The cat's coat is drawn with the brush tip and barely tinted.
Watercolour and ink on paper, worked as a wide panel.
No signature within the painted area.
