Lil Colonel
A cartoon drawn off the show. A white-haired figure in a fur coat and chains stands at a microphone delivering four lines of rap about fried chicken and slaw, a sash reading COLONEL across his chest, while a dancer claps in the foreground and a figure in a topknot looks on.
The lyrics are lettered as a block filling the left half of the sheet and the performer occupies the right, so the words arrive before the figure does. The dancer is cropped at the bottom left corner as an audience of one.
Black ink on white. No colour.
The fur is built from thousands of short flicked strokes and is by far the heaviest passage on the sheet, against plain open line in everything else. The lettering is drawn freehand with one word in bold.
