Kitty City: Red Breast
A cover design lettered Kitty City: Mersh at the centre with a bottle of Red Breast whisky being poured over him, cats crowding in at the left, and two women at the right, one turning to look back over her shoulder.
Built as a cover, with the title lettering set into the black at the upper right and the figures arranged in a shallow arc beneath it. The pour of whisky is the one element crossing from the top of the sheet into the group.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Finished brush line with solid black used as a backing panel behind the lettering and nowhere else, so the figures stay open and the title holds the weight. The hair on both women is the most rendered passage.
Ink on paper, drawn as cover artwork.
