In the plants
Mersh pushing through dense foliage with a cat beside him firing a flamethrower into it, flowers and strange creatures in the undergrowth, smoke rolling up at the right.
The man takes the left third upright and the vegetation fills everything else, with the jet of flame cutting horizontally through the middle. The plants are drawn right up to all four edges so there is no way out of the frame.
Black ink on white. No colour.
The foliage is the subject of the drawing — layered black shapes and hatched leaf forms built up until they read as depth, with the two figures reserved as clean white against them.
Ink on paper.
