A suburban street falling away toward the sea, with a large tree at the centre, a low building at the right and a figure walking a dog on the verge.
The road and verges run away from the bottom edge in converging bands, and the tree stands dead centre where they meet. The building closes the right and the sea is a thin band at the far end.
Cobalt and periwinkle sky with white cloud, against a tree in bottle green and sap. The verges are emerald and chartreuse; the kerbs and paths pale lavender and cream.
Flat opaque planes with square-ended strokes, the tree built from separate dabs with sky showing between them. The figure is three marks and the dog one.
Gouache on paper. Matte and opaque, with wide unpainted margins on all four sides.
