gouache 5
A long low industrial building in dark green seen across a wide road, with utility poles and wires in front and towering cumulus behind.
The building runs the full width as a horizontal mass just below centre; the cloud rises directly above it. Two poles cross the picture vertically and the wires rule the sky into bands.
Deep ultramarine sky with white and lavender cloud, against a building of bottle green and plum. The road is a warm grey; four small white vans are the only pure lights below the skyline.
The cloud is laid in flat loaded strokes with square ends, stacked rather than modelled. The poles and wires are drawn last in single thin dark lines straight across finished paint.
Gouache on paper. Matte and opaque, with wide unpainted margins on all four sides.
Along the lower edge, raypatrick, in dark grey over the road, letters widely spaced.
