A cartoon drawn off the show. A goalpost is being physically carried down a stadium field by a small figure while the crowd watches, the banners around the ground reading as slogans about the war. Two men in the stand look on, and the question lettered overhead is simply whether it is going further.
The field runs away in steep perspective with the goalpost tilted on the diagonal at the left, and the two spectators are drawn large at the right edge as if seated in front of the reader. Lettered banners fill the middle distance.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Solid brushed black for the crowd and the shadowed stand, against open line in the two foreground heads. The banners are hand-lettered and left white so they read across the dark.
Ink on paper, drawn as a cartoon for the show.
Signed with the artist's name at the lower centre and dated in MMDDYY beside it.
