English military might

A cartoon drawn off the show. A grinning figure in a suit declares that they do not need the Americans, since they have the old girl and their own bombs, and that the Russians do not stand a chance. Behind him a striped biplane flies through cloud with a dog in flying goggles at the controls, and a second dog sniggers beside a bomb.
The speaker occupies the left with his lettering above him, and the whole right half is given to the aircraft and the dogs, so the boast and the evidence for it sit side by side.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Solid black in the aircraft's stripes and the clouds drawn as plain open outline, against crosshatching in the face. The two registers — political caricature and Saturday-morning cartoon — are drawn in deliberately different hands.
Ink on paper, drawn as a cartoon for the show.
Lettered ROTC TOONS at the lower left with the artist's name and a date in MMDDYY beside it.
