Eloquent as fuck
Royce holds up four fingers for a table of four, and the gesture turns into a lecture on marriage, mind-reading and being called a bad communicator. A fist the size of the panel lands on the bar. The strip closes with the verdict that for a bad communicator, that just now was eloquent as fuck.
A giant central panel of the fist occupies most of the sheet, with the conversation running as small panels around its edges. The scale break is the gag: the argument is drawn tiny and the punctuation is drawn enormous.
Warm brown and sienna through the fist and the bar against the acid green and turquoise of the shirts, with a cold cocktail blue in the glasses.
The fist is modelled in several wet-into-wet passes with real weight in the knuckles; everything around it is laid in quickly and flat. A hand-lettered impact burst sits at the top left of the big panel.
