Drive thru
Concept ink for a drive-through. A bearded driver leans out of a heavy vehicle with a gearstick in one hand, and a cat in a headset hangs out of the service window beside him holding equipment.
The sheet is filled corner to corner by the machinery — dials, hoses, panels — with the two heads pushed into the middle of it. There is no ground and no sky; the whole picture is interior.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Mechanical ruled line for the vehicle and the instruments against loose freehand for the faces and the fur, with solid black used to separate the two. Very dense: almost no bare paper.
Ink on paper.
Signed with the artist's name at the lower right and dated in MMDDYY beneath it.
