A sketchbook spread of women crowded into an open car, drawn mid-turn with their hair blowing, while a bearded man and a tabby cat look over from the sheet above. Worked in colour but not finished.
Two sheets photographed overlapping, so the upper drawing is cut off by the lower one and the two read as a single stacked image. The faces run in a rank across the centre with the car as a dark band beneath them.
Slate and olive through the figures against the pale blue of the car body, with one orange note in the shirt at the top edge. Almost nothing is fully saturated.
Brush-drawn contour with washes dragged across it dry, leaving the paper showing through — quicker and looser than the finished panels, and stopped before the backgrounds were resolved.
