Dragon on the panel
A cartoon drawn off the show. A daytime talk-show panel at a long desk, with a dragon seated among the hosts insisting on what it is while the others shout it down. A banner headline runs across the top of the sheet and the programme's name is lettered along the front of the desk.
A frieze of five heads behind a desk that runs the full width, with the dragon placed at the centre so the argument has an axis. The headline sits above everything like a chyron and the lettered desk front closes the bottom.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Close diagonal ruling fills the whole background and makes a flat studio wall, against unfilled figures. The desk front is left white so the lettering on it reads at a glance.
Ink on paper, drawn as a cartoon for the show.
Lettered ROTC TOONS at the lower centre with the artist's name and a date in MMDDYY beside it.
