The shout-out page from D Tractor: twenty-five portrait heads in oval frames, each named underneath in hand-lettered capitals. Dick, Vito, Gary, Az, Eric, Anna, Mersh, Royce, Riley, Mint Salad, Nick, Kayla, April, Nina Infinity, YellowFlash, Jeremy, Shane, Ethan, Lowly Worm, Bill Dauterive, Kim Junggi, Sturgis, Totoro, Quartering and Marduk Wandering Knight — the show's regulars, its guests and its running jokes together, with one frame left blank but for a question mark.
A grid of ovals in loose rows, sized by nothing but how they pack, with the banner across the top. Every head is drawn at the same scale, so the page reads as a cast list rather than a hierarchy.
Flesh tones and muted washes against a pale ground, with each oval given a faint coloured halo so the heads separate without borders.
Watercolour over ink, each portrait worked individually at small scale with the modelling kept to the faces and the hair. The names are hand-lettered in plain capitals beneath each frame.
Watercolour and ink on paper.
