D Tractor, page 8 painted — the vox pops
A close photograph of D Tractor page 8 on the board: the family group ANNA stops at the ice cream launch — this one gulps down the pineapple froth! — and beneath them NINA INFINITY in sunglasses with a mass of curly red hair, saying it's super good ice cream and then admitting she hasn't had any.
Two panels photographed at an angle, the upper one cropped to three heads in a row and the lower one given over almost entirely to the hair.
Lilac, sand and blonde in the upper panel against a wet blue sky; the lower panel is rose and sienna, with the mirrored glasses carrying the only cold notes.
Watercolour over ink. The curls are drawn as a hundred separate ribbons and then painted in three passes, which is the most worked piece of hair in the book.
