D Tractor, page 5 painted — Eric

A close photograph of D Tractor page 5 on the board: ERIC in the fur-collared jacket and flat cap reaching out of the panel toward the reader, painted in blues and golds, with the R.B.F.W. (Rippaverse Fulfillment Warehouse) behind him and a corner of the next panel showing at the edge.
Cropped to the figure and turned on the diagonal, the open hand nearest the lens and the head set back behind it.
Ultramarine and violet through the jacket with gold-green along every lit edge, against a dusty rose ground.
Watercolour over ink, the colour pushed much further than local colour — a blue man in a blue coat, lit yellow, which is the loudest painting in the book.
Photograph of the original page, watercolour and ink on paper.
The page is signed; the photograph is a detail.
