D Tractor, page 3 on the board

D Tractor page 3, painted and taped down on the drawing board. AZ and GARY square up over the ice cream brand — bite your tongue you bariatric blood biscuit — and a sword comes down past the lettering ICE PACK. Round the sheet: a jar of brushes, two mops loaded with colour, and a palette worked to the wood.
Shot down the length of the desk so the page runs away from the reader at an angle, blue tape holding it flat, with the palette and the brush jar behind it and two sable mops lying across a towel in front.
Two greens for the turtles against violet and cobalt in the panel grounds, with the orange and red of the sound lettering. The desk is warm brown and the tape is a hard cyan.
Watercolour over ink, the colour laid in flat and left alone. The photograph shows how wet the painting still is and how far the palette has gone for one page.

The page is signed with the artist's handle; the photograph is not.
