D Tractor, page 12 inks — Ethan and Clippa
The inks for D Tractor page 12, raking across the sheet: ETHAN with a hand up and his beard in long parallel strokes, CLIPPA coming in off the skates, and the NN of the dive drawn as solid display lettering between them.
A close three-quarter crop along the paper, the two faces pushed to the edges and the lettering holding the middle, so the N's read as the subject of the photograph.
Black ink on white paper. The only colour is the blue of the board at the corner.
Brush and pen. The lettering is outlined and shadowed before a drop of colour goes anywhere near it, which is how the sound effects end up sitting inside the scene.
