D Tractor, five pages on the table
Five D Tractor pages out on the table at once, each taped to its own board: the ice cream line, ANNA and the Channel 6 crew going live, CLIPPA skating past MINT SALAD, the four turtles walking the carts out with GARY holding up the tub, and the inks for the Cadillac page waiting at the right.
Shot from above with the boards overlapping like cards, the turtle page squarest to the lens and the others falling away to the edges of the frame.
Green and violet through the painted sheets against the hard cyan of the tape and the warm brown of the table.
Watercolour over ink on four of them and bare pen line on the fifth — the photograph is a record of where the book stood on that day.
