The car sits low and close in the right foreground at a three-quarter angle while the street runs back and left to a high horizon of towers. A band of solid black across the top closes the sky.
Violet and indigo through the car and the night sky against brick orange and ochre in the buildings, with the trees in acid green. The car is the coldest thing in a warm street.
Ink line with washes laid in rapidly and allowed to blotch, the foliage dabbed rather than drawn. The black across the top is brushed on dry so the paper breaks through it.
