Crowd scene in ink

The same crowd carried through to ink. Dozens of caricatured faces press up the sheet, a cart is being pushed through the middle of them, and two balloons at the top carry the shout that is driving the whole scene — somebody is about to drop the ice cream.
The picture is set on the page as a tilted rectangle with the corners left bare, so the crowd appears to lean. The cart drives a diagonal up from the bottom left, which is the only straight line in a sheet made of heads.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Fine pen throughout, with solid black used only in a few jackets and in the lettering, so the mass of faces stays legible. Every face is individually worked.
Ink on paper.
No signature visible within the drawn area.
