Cool as a cucumber
A cartoon drawn off the show. One host in headphones tells the other to be cool; the other has already come apart — mouth wide, eyes wild behind dark glasses, a pistol in one hand and a rifle propped beside him — while insisting at the top of his voice that he is perfectly calm. A cat sleeps through it on the desk.
Two panels butted together, the calm one small at the left and the shouting one filling three quarters of the sheet. The lettering of his claim is drawn large across the middle, so the denial is physically the loudest thing in the picture.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Open line with solid black used in the hair and the shirt, and the lettering drawn in outlined capitals with its own shadow. The sleeping cat is the only soft, unhatched shape.
