Cookie Jar
A Nightwave Funnies cartoon in two panels. In the first a man in headphones boasts that he is quite the ladies' man and has been caught with his hand in the cookie jar more than once. In the second a woman looks straight out, unimpressed, and corrects the record in enormous lettering — never once — with a shirt that tells him to shut up.
Two panels side by side, the boast on the left and the correction on the right, with the single word of the rebuttal drawn at ten times the size of his claim. The scale of the lettering is the punchline.
Black ink on white. No colour.
Solid brushed black fills both backgrounds so the two figures are lit the same way, and the big word is drawn in heavy outlined capitals with its own shadow. Hair and shirt graphics carry the only detail.
Ink on paper, drawn as a cartoon for the show.
Lettered NIGHTWAVE FUNNIES at the lower left with the artist's name and a date in MMDDYY at the right.
