Beck in the SK hoodie
Beck, the Superkillers sidekick, standing with her cat-ear hood up and a big orange SK across the chest of the hoodie. The hood has cat ears on it; teal-rimmed glasses sit on her nose, dark hair falls either side of her face, and a big orange SK fills the chest of the hoodie. Her hands are pushed into the front pocket and her legs are in dark tights, crossed at the ankle.
A tall narrow sheet with the figure running its full height, head tipped to her right and the weight on one leg so the body makes a long shallow curve. The hoodie is drawn oversized, which puts the mass at the top and leaves the legs to taper away into the lower half.
Violet and blue through the hoodie, warm grey and mauve in the tights, with the orange SK and the teal glasses as the only two notes that are not in the violet family.
Brush-drawn in ink with long single strokes for the folds, then washed in violets allowed to vary inside each shape rather than be made flat. The glasses and the chest mark are put in last, opaque enough to hold against the hoodie.
Watercolour and ink on paper, scanned flat. Transparent washes; the paper is the only white.
