A coast road seen from above, a truck and a van on it, with a rail line and parking terraces below and the sea closing the distance.
The road enters at the lower left and runs away to the right, its yellow kerb line the strongest mark in the picture. Three very tall palms stand at the right and are cropped by the top edge; everything else lies in flat horizontal bands.
Cerulean and periwinkle through the sky with white cloud, over a sea of deep blue. The land runs sage, olive and bone; the truck is a single block of cadmium orange.
Thick and square, each plane one loaded stroke with an abrupt end. The palm trunks are single long pulls of violet-grey drawn over finished paint; the kerb is one unbroken yellow line.
Oil on canvas board. Heavy impasto in the sky, the weave visible at the margins. Photographed with the palette knife used on it.
Along the lower edge, raypatrick, in red over the kerb, letters widely spaced.
