A long low industrial building in dark green, seen across a wide road, with utility poles and wires in front and towering cumulus behind it.
The building runs the full width as a horizontal mass just below centre; the cloud rises directly above it and takes the upper half. Two poles cross the whole picture vertically and the wires rule the sky into bands.
Deep ultramarine sky with white and pewter cloud, against a building of bottle green and plum. The road is a warm grey; three small vans are the only pure whites below the skyline.
The cloud is laid in flat loaded strokes with square ends, stacked rather than modelled. The poles and wires are drawn last, in single thin dark lines straight across finished paint.
Gouache on paper, worked within a taped border — the masking is still in place in the photograph, which is why the blue ground stops at a hard line. Matte and opaque.
Along the lower edge, raypatrick, in grey over the road, letters widely spaced.
